Give the builder a face

Identity system · Checkout builder

A working checkout-flow studio needed an identity. The harder job was giving it one without making the product tell fibs.

Temporary name. Permanent meeting invite.

bob started life as a checkout-flow builder with a supposedly temporary internal project name. Then it appeared in a meeting invite six months later.

The product itself was far less vague. Give it a merchant URL and it extracts the useful bits of the brand, shows where they came from, and lets you build one of three mobile UPI journeys: Intent, Collect or Autopay.

The marketing layer would not fib

Payment screens are crowded with other people’s rules. Official payment artwork stays official. Merchant colours belong only on merchant-owned surfaces. The homepage therefore uses the real UPI films instead of a fake dashboard or a phone bezel hired to imply more product than exists.

One instrument, three journeys

The controls became one instrument for UPI Intent, UPI Collect and UPI Autopay. The identity adds warmth and one quiet joke. The product keeps its dignity. Three journeys are designed now. More checkout flows are coming soon.
